More than 952 apartments will be renovated, gain an upgraded building systems, and receive enhanced security.
Located in Northeast Bronx, the three NYCHA campuses are currently undergoing extensive repairs and upgrades. In collaboration with Beacon Communities, Kalel Holdings, MBD Community Housing Corporation, Wavecrest Management, Notias, and the New York City Housing Authority, we focused on creating safe, accessible, and quality homes with residents.
In an effort to remain completely affordable, the PACT (Permanent Affordability Commitment Together) program is able to modernize and invest in the future of these housing developments. We are working towards renovating the entry area, corridors, stairways, and roof. Many months were spent documenting the current conditions of the apartment units. The kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and bedrooms will be repaired or renovated depending on need. Building on a comprehensive study of the structures, we are exploring opportunities to repurpose spaces around the buildings for practical uses, such as establishing a modern laundry room, upgrading the boiler room, and optimizing utility closets for improved functionality.
