Salary Range: $105,000 – $135,000/year

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must have 6 plus years of architectural experience, particularly in new construction and rehabilitation projects. Experience in multifamily affordable housing is highly preferred, and familiarity with NYCHA projects is a plus. This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage projects from conception to completion, oversee contractors, and ensure all aspects of the project align with design intent and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from conception to completion by defining scope, schedules, and deliverables while proactively monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed. They coordinate with consultants across disciplines, lead and document project meetings, and ensure compliance with all building codes, zoning, and agency requirements, including DOB, HPD, and NYCHA standards. Strong oversight of project schedules and budgets is essential to balance multiple milestones and maintain momentum.
During construction, they conduct site visits, prepare field reports, and review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to confirm work aligns with approved documents. As the primary client contact, they provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address concerns with clear solutions. They also identify risks such as scheduling conflicts or contractor performance issues, resolving them quickly to protect project goals. Ultimately, they ensure final deliverables meet all contractual obligations and achieve client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 6+ years of architecture experience, with a strong background in new construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Multifamily affordable housing experience preferred; NYCHA project experience is a plus.
- Expertise in NYC Building Codes and zoning regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret, and review architectural and construction drawings with a keen eye for errors.
- Strong negotiation skills to handle change order disputes with general contractors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take clear and concise meeting minutes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Professional licensure is a plus, but not required.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Hybrid schedule: Tuesday – Thursday in-office; Monday & Friday remote.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
